Responsibilities Director Treasury (m/f/d)

In this role, you will take full ownership of the group’s treasury activities and lead a young, motivated team through a phase of structural change. You combine strategic development with hands‑on execution and provide financial stability in a rapidly evolving business environment.

  • Oversee liquidity planning, cash‑flow management and treasury operations across multiple regions
  • Ensure efficient processes for cash transfers, internal funding and cash visibility
  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions and external financing partners
  • Support project‑related financing activities together with commercial, M&A and legal stakeholders
  • Over time, funding activities of the Director Treasury will be increased
  • Further deployment and implementation of the TMS
  • Strengthen governance structures, policies and internal controls
  • Drive process optimisation, standardisation and digitalisation across the treasury organisation
  • Prepare treasury reports, forecasts and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
  • Lead, develop and mentor a treasury team in an environment characterised by fast growth and increasing complexity

Ideal Director Treasury (m/f/d)

The ideal candidate brings in depth experience in Corporate Treasury and preferably Corporate Finance within international and project‑driven organisations, ideally with exposure to capital‑intensive or asset‑heavy business models. A Master’s degree is essential, as is fluent English; German is advantageous but not a must. You combine treasury technical expertise with a hands‑on approach and feel comfortable operating in an environment that is still developing its structures. You naturally take ownership, stay calm when dealing with ambiguity, and have an instinct for troubleshooting and prioritising under pressure. A resilient personality with humour, pragmatism and the ability to “figure things out” will thrive in this organisation, particularly given the evolving business model, young team, and the need to bring clarity and structure into a fast‑changing treasury landscape. Experience working with banks, supporting funding activities, and overseeing liquidity and risk topics is important, and familiarity with TMS (Kyriba) will be highly valued. You lead with empathy and presence, can guide and develop a team of 10, and collaborate effectively with senior leaders. This is a role for someone entrepreneurial, open‑minded, unpretentious and willing to stay and shape the function over the next several years.
